First Reading in New Zealand

I was invited to read on a Speculative Fiction panel at Palmerston North Library alongside Kiwi writer, Tim Jones. It was so nerve-wracking to read for the first time here – but the audience were fantastic, and had some brilliant questions. There are a wealth of fantastic New Zealand writers, and Tim was no exception – he was really generous as a co-panelist.
But what was especially lovely, was that when a group of us went out to dinner afterwards, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. There, I met Antony Millen, who soon afterwards wrote a really well-researched piece on his fantastic website, which I am so grateful for. It’s always strange, moving countries and starting a new life, so this thoughtful piece of writing has really moved me.
